Our president respected Sri Basangouda Ramanagouda Patil(Yatnal) hails from very respectful and orthodox family. His journey from his youth to the present was not at all bed of roses but he reached the present stage through his determined and unstinted effort and sheer courage to face the life as it comes. His love and affection towards the poor made him one of the few visionary who are striving hard for the betterment of our people.

He shown his mettle when he was serving the nation as Railway Minister at center under Late Ataljee. His work as MP, MLC and MLA were hall mark of his leadership qualities to name the few his successful venture are Bharatiya Saunskruti Utsav was one event which took him at the tall order towards true organizational skill.

At present apart from sitting MLA he is chairperson to so many religious cultural social organizations.
